Bruce Swilley Is Eager To Participate In Charity Events Where He Believes The Cause Is Important

Bruce Swilley worked hard as a first responder in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He wanted to be able to help the people of his state and he did everything in his power to accomplish that. Hurricane Katrina was a devastating disaster that did record setting amounts of damage in the area and took countless lives—so Bruce Swilley is proud of his contribution in the aftermath of the storm. He helped to transport, repair, and operation heavy construction equipment, working tirelessly to ensure the job was done right. He participated in the 2000 Louisiana 4-H State Horse Show, where his 2 yr. Old horse, Mr. Cache Conclusive, competed in the Gelding Halter Class, placing first at the competition. In that same competition, the same year, he placed in the top three in the Walk/Trot and also in the Western Pleasure Classes with his quarter horse, Carmen.

In 2005, Bruce Swilley graduated from Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell, Louisiana. From 2005 until 2006, Bruce Swilley served as CCD 4th grade teacher for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux, Mississippi. In 2007, Bruce Swilley was able to complete in the Mud Nationals in Texas, which is an ATV riding competition.

Bruce Swilley has also been involved with the Slidell Ladies for Liberty, which is a charity based in Slidell, Louisiana. He volunteered to organize Costumes for a Cause in November of 2013. Swilley also was also a participant in the National Dance Day Dance-Off on July 27th, 2013, which was set up by the Slidell Ladies for Liberty. In 2010, Bruce Swilley competed in a tournament put on by the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club. This tournament was hosted in Orange Beach, Alabama, and was called the Labor Day Invitational. Bruce Swilley has a heart for charity and a want to compete—he has been able to satisfy both by participating in these various events.
